Our handmade face and body Soaps, Pet Shampoo Bars, Lotions, Bath Salts, Bath Fizzy Bombs, Lip Balms, Massage Melt Bars and all of our products contain Honey and/or beeswax from our hives. Commercial products use very small amounts if any of these wonderful moisturizers, skin humectants and protectants.
We research all of the oils, essential oils, fragrances and flowers that we use so that we can utilize any possible beneficial properties.We do not use petroleum products. We DO NOT test on animals! We DO test our products ourselves with the very willing help of our family and friends. We do use a few animal products in the creation of some of our products such as our honey and beeswax, (we never destroy the hard earned comb our bees build, or kill our bees, some apiaries do this!) and lanolin ( gathered only from sheered fleece).
Our relaxing natural bath and body products are made fresh from recipes handed down for generations and are adapted to soothing our modern stresses and replacing the rampant use of harsh and destrutive chemicals on our bodies and hair.Each bar of soap is hand cut so no two are exactly alike.

We began experimenting with natural soaps and lotions in November of 2007 when we had an overflow of honey and a lot of Christmas presents that needed to be made. On our quest to give our friends and family high quality handmade and useful holiday gifts we started using our natural honey and beeswax and garden products mixed only with the finest natural oils and fragrances. Once everyone started using the products we started getting rave reviews and requests for MORE, MORE, MORE!

We love the kitchen science aspect of creating these lovely body products and the option of omitting all of the harmful products included in the usual soaps, lotions, bath products we had been using, so we started experimenting and found that there was no limit to the options and recipes! Since we have all been using our own products our skin is softer, our hair is shinier and our fragrant baths are so relaxing. We hope that you will give our products a try. We make everything here in small batches to ensure the high quality of our all natural products. We use pure Wisconsin rain water that we collect and filter, providing extra softness to your skin. We use our own bees RAW MILLIFIORE HONEY . Our bees forage locally on thousands of different types of flowers because we keep them in our gardens that are adjacent to 180 acres of Dane County Parkland that is flush with widlflowers, Basswood trees and lots of other grasses and blooming plants! The Tupelo Trees we planted should start blooming in a year or so too. The honey is straight from the hives, and is never heated, filtered or watered down.
We use all natural Unrefined Beeswax straight from the hives.

Unrefined Beeswax has a delightful, sweet light fragrance of honey and flower nectar. The propolis and trace amounts of vitamins and minerals found in unrefined beeswax help to nourish and soothe the skin. Beeswax forms a soft, light barrier on your skin that prevents the loss of moisture and helps to seal in moisturizing oils and butters, without clogging pores. Our beeswax comes from the uncapping process we use to release the honey, we never destroy the hard earned comb our bees build.
An APIARY is a bee farm. We use our own bees honey and wax in all of our products. We handcraft each and every product in small batches from scratch. We use all natural ingredients and 100% pure essential oils and honey and beeswax from our hives. We formulate each of our products to make your skin feel soft, moisturized, smooth and silky and well cared for.
Making these products gives us the opportunity include our own Wisconsin garden grown flowers in our herbal infusions. We make our infusions ourselves by using dried flowers, leaves, seeds and buds from our gardens and pouring boiling pure Wisconsin rain water over the flowers then covering and allowing the infusion to steep before using it in our products.
We do use natural antibacterial ingredients to keep your lotions and other products that contain water safe and fresh, but using them up within a year is a good idea.
At Cackleberry Apiary we believe in the health benefits associated with the natural ingredients in our Soaps and other natural body products. We believe that natural products are mild and gentle on your skin.
Pure essential oils, herbs, and other natural ingredients, like the ones we include in our soaps, lotions and other products have been used worldwide for centuries. Their folklore and uses have been passed down through generations. We do also add some yummy Fragrance oils, that are not Essential plant oils, these will be noted on the products with the initials FO. Products containing only Essential Oils and no Fragrance Oils will be noted with the initials EO.

A CACKLEBERRY is a chicken egg, a tribute to our pet chickens. We use the eggs in some of our bath products and we often have a couple dozen blue and green and brown eggs for sale per week.
